List of Works

I began composing in earnest in 1993 with the purchase of my first computer, though I had written a few small works before that. Since then I've been fortunate enough to have had my music played by members of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, the Juilliard Faculty, the American Saxophone Quartet, the Pittsburgh Symphony, Seattle Symphony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the Marlboro Music Festival. I have also been commissioned by the Rochester Philharmonic Wind Quintet, the Cornish College of the Arts, and Trombonist Don Immel.

Chamber Music (2005) 12-4-6 - 12 min. - Sextet for Flute, Clarinet, Violin, 'Cello, Percussion, and Piano. Twelve pitches in twelve minutes for six players. The mood, volume, and number of pitches available to use follows a hyperbolic curve up and down (and from calm to activity) over the course of the 12 minutes, peaking at 7 minutes. Each pitch is then removes in the order in which it was introduced. For example, for the first minute, all we here is F, then we get E and play between the two, then C, etc., ending on A-flat.
